Undead essay

Undead – Short essay response

There are many challenges when producing a film, challenges such as finding a cast that’s best suitable for the character in the film, then writing a script, which takes quite a long time to complete, then choosing the location suited for the film and finally shooting the film and adjusting what should or could be changed to make the film enjoyable.

First of all, finding a cast suitable for the character that is in the film, finding actors involves contacting and arranging meetings and interviews with them to see what they are capable of doing.
The appearance of an actor is also important, example, a villain as a character, you will need somebody that looks and fulfils this requirement as a villain, or the same for the hero.

Another big challenge in producing a film is writing a script, writing a script involves looking through the storyline and understanding what the film is going to be about. Giving the cast suitable lines for their characters, It gives the audience a rough idea of who they are and what kind of person their like. The Script is a very important step for producing a film, but it is quite complicated in terms of finding the right lines.

Choosing the right location is also very complicated, finding the location involves finding a variety of places to shoot the film then narrowing it down to only 2-3 then researching on the place, finding information on the location, and the history of the place. The location is super important to the film, because the location of a movie, really shows what the movie is going to be about and what kind of society they live in. Then they have to contact the person in charge of the location they have chosen, whether it is the mayor or council.

A good example is a movie about cowboys, they wouldn’t choose the location in a city with very modern and clean buildings, they would shoot the film in a place that is lesser people and quiet place, and a country side place would be more suitable for a movie with that genre. Location is one of the most important steps in producing a film.

Editing the film is also a challenge, timing cutting and pasting different parts of the movie to make it work take a long time to work on. It involves finding the right editor who is capable of cutting, timing and pasting. A team of editors would work even better but hiring more editors is expensive and a bigger Hassle. Editing is one of those steps you can’t skip or do a crappy job on.

Producing a movie consists of many challenges and obstacles, but it is one of those things that you must do in order to complete the movie and make it enjoyable for the audience to view.
It’s complicated, but in the end, it will be a success if it is done properly. When I produce my own film, I would think these challenges are the hardest steps in producing a film.
